Applied Innovation

Scalable manufacturing for next-gen silicon batteries
A revolutionary battery technology is only as impactful as its commercial scalability. Group14’s operational framework combines material discovery with scalable process engineering to achieve commercial, gigawatt-hour (GWh) scale production of SCC55® without sacrificing quality or performance.
Our technologies

Scaffold Prime®

Precision carbon scaffolding for silicon anodes
Scaffold Prime® is Group14’s patented, reliable, and commercial-scale manufacturing platform designed to produce SCC55®. Manufactured through our elegantly simple two step process, we start by synthesizing carbon to create the perfect carbon scaffold. We then create silicon and tuned internal void space inside it, which results in the final product: SCC55®.
Our technologies

Silane Manufacturing

Ultra-pure, low-carbon silane production
Our industry-leading silane manufacturing process pairs energy-efficient, ultra-high-purity, and low-carbon production technologies with commercially proven chemical capabilities. By securing direct access to silane gas precursor in key regions, Group14 helps build resilient, localized battery supply chains worldwide.
