Electrical & Instrument Technician
The Industrial Electrical & Instrument Technician supports Plant Operations with electrical, instruments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of process operations and facility equipment with an additional focus on predictive and preventative maintenance.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Interpret technical drawings and procedures to aid in troubleshooting and repair of most electrical, instruments and control system equipment.
Ensure daily maintenance and repair activities are tracked/logged and performed safely and in a timely manner and closed out effectively.
Operate and maintain a variety of test equipment using established procedures.
Interface with operators and engineers to understand and find “root cause” of equipment problems and hazards in need of service, repair and/or replacement of components, communicate those options/suggestions and propose fixes and improvement ideas to pertinent technical staff.
Repair, maintain, and install electrical systems and equipment such as motors, drives, wiring and associated devices.
Diagnose the cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform corrective and preventative maintenance.
Review and update loop diagrams and specification sheets as required.
Participate in new installations and modifications to existing equipment.
Maintain proficiency in electrical troubleshooting; high volt, low volt and controls circuits.
Must be able to identify and specify materials and procedures required for repair and/or rebuilding of manufacturing equipment.
Assist in developing, executing, and expanding a Predictive and Preventive Maintenance program and support tracking systems with predictive maintenance practices, while being flexible to cover emergency maintenance.
Participates in design reviews, Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and the management of change (MOC) process.
Serve as an “on-call” technician during off-hours, weekends and holidays as part of the call out rotation to perform limited troubleshooting and repair mechanical equipment.
Learn and follow plant procedures and safety regulations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 to 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of industrial maintenance experience and education.
Must be capable of effectively interfacing with other departments/personnel for the purpose of developing and/or supplying information to ascertain and achieve processing requirements.
Understanding of Predictive Preventive Maintenance programs.
Understanding of LOTO.
Working knowledge of Parker, Allen Bradley, and Siemens AC variable frequency drives, PLCs and associated protocols is a plus.
Must be able to read, follow and identify components depicted on schematics and engineered drawings.
Must be able to operate forklift and aerial lift platforms to work at heights up to 26 feet on a limited basis, 14 feet on average when needed.
Must be able to handle physical heavy lifting of materials/tools up to 75 pounds. Heavier materials may require assistance.
Capable of wearing respiratory protection as required.
Looking for good general mechanical aptitude and experience with; HVAC, IR-thermal, ultrasound, vibration, baker testing, instrument calibration, electrical license, controls, UPS, and robotics.
The base pay range for this position is $30/hr – $50/hr. All positions come with a bonus plan and company stock options. Program Manager (Mandarin Speaker)
The Program Manager ensures the success of the customer qualification process using Group14’s product(s). This person will be the primary point of contact for Group14 customers in the qualification and production stages, and is accountable to ensure Customers, Business Development, R&D, Operations, and Quality deliver program milestones on time and on budget. Contracts Manager (Mandarin Speaker)
The Contracts Manager is responsible for negotiating and managing contracts for customer programs and clearly communicating on-going progress with all stakeholders. These include customer supply agreements, allocation agreements, etc. with global EV and CE battery makers. The Contracts Manager will be interfacing with Business Development, internal legal counsel, external legal counsel, Quality, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Finance. This role will support Group14’s efforts to supply the largest battery makers, EV OEMs, and consumer electronics companies in North America, Europe, and Asia.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Review, revise, and negotiate contracts which include supply agreements, allocation agreements, terms and conditions, and purchase orders in collaboration with Business Development and Legal. Escalate complex legal and factual issues to appropriate teams to assist in resolution.
Support Business Development Managers negotiate contracts – with a specific focus on Chinese customers and the Chinese market.
Lead efforts associated with the Contract Life Cycle Management of all contracts in support of battery qualification programs for automotive and consumer electronics customers.
Partner with internal stakeholders and customers to obtain the requirements needed for each contract; including internal Quality and Product teams for Quality and Technical agreements.
Monitor contract performance and compliance. Recommend and implement process improvements for contract compliance.
Provide concise and effective communications to key internal and external stakeholders on contracts progress.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Experience with automotive or battery customers or equivalent.

The Maintenance Manager will have a complete understanding of process equipment systems, as well as maintenance on machinery. This position will ensure that plant personnel have a safe work environment and that all physical plant systems are operating safely and efficiently. This position will lead the facilities maintenance department with 2-3 direct reports, as well as being hands-on in performing routine maintenance, while working closely with Process Engineering and Process Operators.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Facility/building maintenance (carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, HVAC, plumbing, welding and mechanical tasks)
Ensure daily maintenance and repair activities, work orders and projects are planned, logged, assigned, initiated and closed out.
Install and implement new and/or upgraded equipment.
Supervise, lead and manage all maintenance processes and operations.
Support Operations and Engineering by troubleshooting systems to identify necessary repairs.
Fabricate, assemble, install and inspect.
Manage maintenance projects as needed.
Develop, execute and expand a Preventive Maintenance program and work towards a tracking system with predictive maintenance practices, while being flexible to cover emergency maintenance.
Scheduling, budgeting, and evaluating repair cost estimates.
Oversee equipment stock, evaluate spare parts lists, and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
Prepare, review and negotiate budgets, bids and contracts with outside suppliers and contractors.
Plan, review and discuss project specifications, milestones and timelines with stakeholders.
Work closely with equipment manufacturers and engineers to understand proper equipment operations.
Participate in and help oversee projects driven by safety, quality, cost, and production capacity.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field from accredited College or University. MS in applicable Engineering discipline preferred.
5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing/industrial environment – Chemical, Materials industry experience strongly preferred.

Experience working with productivity Lean Six Sigma tools that increase project efficiency and effectiveness.
Ability to lead, promote and sustain a continuous improvement culture.
